BRUNEI | ISTANA NURUL IMAN | DAMUAN PARK

One of the most popular area in Brunei nowadays is the Damuan Recreational Park, situated at Mile 4, of Jalan Tutong. Due to health awareness, lotsa people throng this area to go for various activities, such as jogging, brisk walking, just lazing around, picnic, seeing other people or people watching or even dating hehehe.... Damuan Park or also known to the local as Taman Arca, have within it's area sculptures designed/made from various artists from the ASEAN region.

There's also a river running along the park called the Damuan River, and lately, lotsa people use the river for water activities such as kayaking, boat cruise, fishing and it is also the passage way for the big barge to transport rocks from Temburong District to the local quarries in Brunei-Muara District.

Within the vicinity of Damuan Park, one cannot miss the magnificient palace of HM the Sultan of Brunei, The Istana Nurul Iman. As stated in the World Guiness Record, it is the most largest residential palace in the world, having more than 1300 rooms in it. It is close for the public, except for three (03) days during the Islamic festive season, Hari Raya Aidilfitri, where by, it is open to the public, and public will be able to meet & greet the royal families.

Well overall, it is a nice experience being here, seeing lotsa people doing varieties of stuffs, and if u r hungry, there's also a food stall, enjoying the meal by the river, overlooking the Royal Palace, there are activities for all ages.. so do drop by and enjoy your stay ... ;)
