Different people have different view in contributing their share during this day, for us, this is one of our ways to contribute, by sharing the celebrate moment with all of you out there.

Sometimes, we would be very cautious with bringing our camera gear while traveling to foreign country, the feeling of whether it is ok or not to photograph street photos and such, also the worries of carrying those bulky camera gears.But whilst in Seoul, I feel "in" blending with the local, because many of the locals are carrying huge SLR with them almost everywhere, well, many touristy area actually, hence there were less guilt in capturing the street scene.

There are even quite a number of women photographers, I guess they wanna play around with huge DSLR nowadays rather than those sleek slim compact, or perhaps just wanna make it a reason so that they can buy a new handbag which can fit their bulky camera!

Whilst in Seoul, City Hall area to be exact, I stumbled upon, some sort of festival, as it was all spoken in Korean, so I assumed this is some sort of a lantern festival.As for the protocol, I was not too sure the do's and don'ts duringthe festival, hence I did not captured as much photo as I want, furthermore I did not have any fast lens, tripod nor flashgun with me at that moment, so, these are few that I can share.

It's getting late, the festival is coming to the end, people are now walking around more freely.Had a long day, it was time for me to go as well.

Even in the ordinary daily life, people are everywhere, just trying to cross the street looks like a big marathon.
... and when the light turns green, everybody goes to their own respective way.But a recent study have proven that, people commute everyday to the same places within the same pattern during the specific days of the week.And don't let me start with the "Chicken crossed the road thingy".Have a great weekend!
Whilst wandering around the vicinity, I thought, might as well capture some people walking along the perimeter.So hanging around for a bit, I manage to take this.

Shibuya is one of the many must see places in Tokyo.
Just look at all those people walking/crossing the street! (More of this in future posts).For those of you, who like to watch people passing by, this is the place to be!Starbucks is available on that "QFRONT" building, so u can have a sip of your designer coffee, and just watch the people all day long.
This is a famous statue in Shibuya, no not on the right, that is Mitsukoshi San (not his real name), there, that statue on the left.It is the statue of Hachiko, the famous dog, who waited for his owner everyday after work, and even after the owner has passed away, he still waited for him until he too reached the end of his life.
Thus, for those passer-by who noticed about the faithful dog, they cast the dog in concrete and place him there, naaaah, just kidding about casting him in concrete, but yeap, then erected a statue to honour such drama.
This is also a major meeting area for many people, if you happen to be here, and wanna meet up with your friend or whoever, just tell them to meet up here, the easiest place to meet.
Or, otherwise, you have to look up at the street map which can be found at strategic places.

In a very recent sojourn in Seoul, at the very first day, whilst one the way to Insadong, we encountered some sort of peaceful demonstration at one of the major street.Not really sure what the commotion was all about, as all of the banners were in Korean.
At first, I thought that it was some sort of a celebration, as there was a band marching by, but there were banners everywhere.
The only word that I, and even you, could understand is "NO". So if anyone of you understand Korean, please translate it for us.
Obviously, all the security enforcement officers were everywhere, all over the place.Many people were watching along the street. I just cannot imagine if there were an actual parade to celebrate a festival, even more and more people will definitely flood the area.
There were even children marching in the demonstration, also carrying a banner.
Thou there were a large crowd, but these youngster does not seems to care about the demonstration, the ladies are only interested in that young man, at first I thought he must be an artist, Rain perhaps? But no, I don't think so, perhaps he was too engrossed watching the demonstration that, the ladies is trying to get his attention off it.On a different note:Was reading the news regarding the Malay Regiments "Invading" Buckingham Palace.Yeap, if anyone of you who are going to the UK, and just wanna capture those English guard in duty, with their afro looking hair, and red/black uniform, well, you are out of luck, instead you will find a Malay soldier, adorning the "Baju Melayu" with their local hat or Songkok, guarding Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle and even St. James Palace for this month until next month!I don't wanna spoilt the fun in this story, so to know more about this story, just search it on the net, bt don't worry, this a genuine news.
