RANDOM | Local Shop

With the new malls mushrooming, some would thought that, those small shop just could not compete with the new and modern settings.

But, surprisingly, these small shops, do still exist, up and about, and some of them even open their branch at the newly developed shopping complex/malls.

One of the many small shops at the capital, which have been operating since so many years ago, and now they have opened up a number of branches in the new malls, and amazing enough, one would presume the new layout for the new branches would be different, but the layout is still the same as this shop.

yeah...the decor (or the lack of it), signboards still the same...

in general they looked the same, but on the left used to be filled with loads of chinese weekly magazine imported from HK and malaysia; while on the right: malay/english publications and newspapers.

over the years, they removed the left hand side one and replaced with wat's there now.

i know cos i went there once or twice a week after class checking out magazines for the latest goss years back.

when they found out me and my friends did that, and loads of others do that, they started to wrap the magazines hahaha!! but we were regulars halo! how dare!! we just took them out of the plastic and read them for free... muahaha!~!!

... aiyooh.. so U r the reason why all the other bookstore follow suit ...

.. now everything's wrap with plastic ... even some body part!

.... but wrapping up with plastic is not the solution ...

.. coz.. for me... I need to know what is it inside... and most of the times... I bought the mag ... after I looked at the inside...

.... can't just buy something by looking at the cover ....

I used to buy my Japanese Comics (translated to Malay, of course) in the boat-loads here ... as I recall $5.50 per book ... heheh how I wish I could get all that money back, especially now as I realise you can read them for free ... heheh :D
